What is the SEMCO Energy Waste Reduction program?
Through innovative programs and tools, outstanding customer service, and a strong network of retail and contractor relationships, the SEMCO EWR program's mission is to help Michigan become more efficient, more productive, and a more comfortable place to live and work. The SEMCO EWR Program offers rebates to residential SEMCO ENERGY Gas Company customers and contractors on energy saving natural gas measures. These innovative and effective solutions help to lower energy use while improving the safety and health of its customers.
Who qualifies for SEMCO EWR program rebates?
All residential SEMCO ENERGY Gas Company customers and contractors that serve these customers may qualify for SEMCO EWR program rebates.
Is it required to use a contractor to qualify for a rebate?
No, do-it-yourself projects for most energy-saving measures are eligible for rebates.
When do projects need to be completed to qualify?
The application must be received within 90 days of equipment installation date or by December 31, 2025, whichever comes first.
What are the housing type definitions?
• Single-Family – One- to four-family residential building.
• Manufactured – Prefabricated housing.
