How long will it take for my thermostat to arrive?
Your thermostat will arrive within two weeks after your order is placed.
What are the eligibility requirements for this offer?
In order to be eligible for the offer, the following requirements must be met:
• Applicant must be a residential SEMCO ENERGY Gas Company service customer at the time of equipment installation.
• Rebates are available on a first come, first serve basis and are contingent upon available program funding and subject to the terms and conditions.
• Must replace a non-programmable thermostat. Limit one thermostat per home.
• Limit one thermostat per home.
• Primary heating system must be natural gas.
What is the SEMCO Energy Waste Reduction program?
Through innovative programs and tools, outstanding customer service, and a strong network of retail and contractor relationships, the SEMCO EWR program's mission is to help Michigan become more efficient, more productive, and a more comfortable place to live and work. The SEMCO EWR Program offers rebates to residential SEMCO ENERGY Gas Company customers and contractors on energy saving natural gas measures. These innovative and effective solutions help to lower energy use while improving the safety and health of its customers.
Who qualifies for SEMCO EWR program rebates?
All residential SEMCO ENERGY Gas Company customers and contractors that serve these customers may qualify for SEMCO EWR program rebates.
Is it required to use a contractor to qualify for a rebate?
No, do-it-yourself projects for most energy-saving measures are eligible for rebates.
When do projects need to be completed to qualify?
The application must be received within 90 days of equipment installation date or by December 31, 2025, whichever comes first.
What are the housing type definitions?
• Single-Family – One- to four-family residential building.
• Manufactured – Prefabricated housing.

Who is eligible for the SEMCO Retail Coupon Program?
Coupons are available for SEMCO residential customers. Homes must have SEMCO as their gas delivery provider. Homeowners and renters (who have permission from the owner) may participate.
Why are the discounts made available to SEMCO customers?
SEMCO provides discounts on energy-efficient products to help their customers save energy and live comfortably. Customers receive these coupons through two options:
Retailer Coupon – In-Store or Online purchase
Buy Now – SEMCO Marketplace only
Buy Now – SEMCO Marketplace only
How do I access the Retailer Coupon and Buy Now options noted above?
Browse and select the category and the product of choice. When you find a product of interest, create an account, by navigating to the upper right of the website, ‘Create Account’ and follow on-screen instructions.

How do I navigate to the store coupon for qualified products?
On the portal choose the products which have the “Retailer Coupon” option, select “Retailer Coupon”, and click the “Get Discount” button. You will answer some questions to confirm you are eligible to receive a coupon for the item.
Do I need to pick the retailer for the in-store coupon?
Yes, when you are submitting a request in the portal for an in-store coupon you will be asked to choose the retailer and, in some cases, choose an in-store or an online coupon. Once the coupon is issued, the retailer information cannot be changed, and additional coupons cannot be issued if you have met the maximum limit per household.
What do I do if I want to change the retailer for the in-store coupon?
The selection of your retailer is final. The coupons generated by the portal are single use coupons which are specific to the retailer you selected. Please reach out to the SEMCO EWR Program Contact Center at [email protected] or 855-298-5387.
How do I receive my store coupon?
An email is generated which provides you with the coupon(s) chosen, in each order. The coupon includes a bar code which can be scanned by the retailer as well as a numeric code which the retailer can enter, if needed or you may enter during checkout for a purchase on the retailer’s website.
The coupon will also be available to view in “My Dashboard” after email is received.
When do my coupons expire?
The coupons expire December 31 of the year the coupon is received.
Why can’t I use the same coupon twice?
These coupons represent currency. They are issued by our retail partners to be used once on a designated product for the allotted rebate amount at a specific retailer.
