- Home must use a natural gas furnace or natural gas boiler for the primary heating system.
- Rebates are available on a first come, first served basis and are contingent upon available program funding.
- Rebates are available to builders of newly constructed, single-family homes that have earned a Home Energy Rating System (HERS) certification, with a score of 65 or lower.
- The applicant must be a residential account holder of SEMCO ENERGY Gas Company.
- Home must be built between January 1, 2024, to December 31, 2024.
- A copy of your HERS Certificate. This document is generated by your HERS rater. It must show the HERS Index Score. Draft/conditional certifications are not acceptable. The completed application, Fuel Summary Report showing gas savings in therms, with comparison to the Federal Minimum Efficiency Reference Baseline and HERS Certificate must be submitted within 90 days of HERS certification.
